According to Zulmira Ferreira, a television personality, Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez are being harassed by Portuguese media and citizens. Rodriguez and Ronaldo have been dating ever since they first met in Madrid in 2016. The former sales associate-turned-model is the biological mother of two of the couple’s five children.
Despite the fact that Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez seem to be getting along well, there have been rumours of rifts between the two recently. Leo Caeiro, a Portuguese TV presenter, suggested last month that the couple would split up. However, Ferreira has slammed those reports and accused Portugal people of ‘mistreating’ the couple.

Ferreira lambasts ‘violent’ behaviour of Portuguese people towards Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina
In recent weeks, a lot of discussion has focused on how Rodriguez’s actions irritated Cristiano Ronaldo since the couple moved to Saudi Arabia owning to the Portuguese icon’s transfer to Al Nassr. According to rumours, Ronaldo thinks the influencer is becoming less and less interested in him and their kids.
Last month, hurtful articles appeared in the Spanish and Portuguese media alleging that the former Manchester United great was “fed up” with the Spanish model and that the couple could be about to break up. Ferreira, though, believes that rumours that Ronaldo and Rodriguez are ready to split up are untrue.
The TV host said that Cristiano Ronaldo is going through a challenging time in his profession and added that the stress is having an impact on his personal life. Ferreira told Portuguese television channel SIC Caras (via Hiper FM):
“Professionally he (Cristiano Ronaldo) is not well. Cristiano, above all, is focused on his career, on wanting to be the best and you can see that, in recent times, since he left Manchester (United), things have not gone well. So, I mean, everything has gone wrong for him, and this, for Cristiano, is horrible, and, of course, it affects the family relationship.

“I don’t think Gio (Georgina Rodriguez) will want to come here (Portugal), I wouldn’t come either,” Ferreira added. “I loved Portugal and the Portuguese, really.
“Cristiano is very mistreated. Georgina is very mistreated. What has been done to him lately is incredibly violent for a man who has given so much to this country and has elevated this country around the world.”
Ferreira has previously defended Rodriguez and Ronaldo in similar situations. Last month, she also offered the pair her support, stating that conflicts are normal in couples after one of the statements made public in Spanish media came from the TV show Socialite, which said Cristiano Ronaldo was “fed up” with Georgina due to the amount of time she spent shopping in a Riyadh mall. However, Ferreira had claimed:
“Look, I’m starting to feel sorry (for Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez) – that you shouldn’t feel sorry for anyone – but I’m starting to feel sorry for this couple because what they are suffering is a great, great persecution. Because who doesn’t have crises? In a relationship, who doesn’t argue? What couple doesn’t have a little argument? It was a month ago, now did you remember?”
