Roberto Firmino has made an indelible impression on Liverpool fans since his arrival in 2015.

Now with a full season of Premier League football under his belt, he’s beginning to show why he was so highly regarded in Germany.

But not only is he impressing the Anfield faithful with his silky skills, he’s also got them talking about his outrageous fashion sense and his bold hairstyles.

Having begun his Liverpool career sporting a divisive top knot, his style just became a part of who he was as a player.

So when he turned up for Sunday afternoon’s meeting with struggling West Ham with a…relatively normal haircut, many fans took to social media to express their shock at his new choice in locks.

Some compared it to the cut that fellow Reds striker Daniel Sturridge sports, and hailed the Birmingham-born forward’s influence on his South American counterpart.

Others, inevitably, bemoaned the demise of his precious top knot.

So far, though, the haircut has seen mixed results. Having played a part in Liverpool’s fifth-minute goal against the Hammers, he was unable to help his side keep the lead as they went in at the break 2-1 down.
