Barcelona failed to close the gap on Real Madrid as the much-awaited EL Clasico ended in a 1-1 stalemate at the Nou Camp.
After a dull opening half, in which either side struggled to create clear-cut chances, the home team found their groove in the second half. They deservedly took the lead when Luis Suarez headed home from a close range in the 53rd minute. The Catalan outfit kept on creating a string of chances but failed to capitalise on them and were punished on the stroke of full- time, when Sergio Ramos, who has made a penchant for scoring in big games, headed home from a Luka Modric free-kick to help the Los Blancos maintain their six points lead at the top.
On the other hand,Barcelona would be kicking themselves for not bagging all the points and close the gap on the leaders.
Here is how Twitter reacted to the match:

They thought they could win without Kroos and Bale?
Who do they think they are up against? 12 year olds? #ElClasico— Cristiano Rona-Daldo (@Guilty4Fries) December 3, 2016

Under Zidane, Madrid have taken 7 points from 12 in the league against Barcelona and Atletico
Under Ancelotti, they took 4 from 24.
