Liverpool fans who almost forgot the last game when they last came back against a decent side and that too away from home had a night to remember as they thrashed Ronald Koeman’s Southampton 6-1 at St. Mary’s Stadium.
The Reds went behind very early in the game thanks to a Sadio Mane header after just 40 seconds in the game. But something spectacular was waiting for the fans as Jurgen Klopp kept doing wonders with Liverpool.
Daniel Sturridge scored a brace and another striker Divock Origi finally break his duck in style with a hat-trick. Jordan Ibe scored another Liverpool goal.
It was a performance the fans would remember for a long long time.
Twitter flooded with tweets from not only Liverpool fans but also rival and neutral fans who hailed the German master tactician for the good work he has done at Liverpool and brought the team back to their best from scratches. Daniel Sturridge was also hailed as he scored two great goals after Klopp told him to play through pain.
Here are Twitter reactions from the game:

Daniel Sturridge leaves the field, and will now be cryogenically frozen until Sunday’s game with Newcastle.

Klopp’s been there 5 mins & he’s already got 4-1 v City, 3-1 v CFC and 6-1 v Saints. Two seasons in & we’re being told LVG “philosophy”.

Origi’s goal still has me shocked. That was the talent we bought! Has had a disappointing year, but we finally see that raw talent

Origi in the the goals. Allen running the show. Lovren looking solid. If Lucas scores Klopp should resign on the spot, wont get any better.

I’m glad I gave Klopp the right tools to do the job. It’s like building 100 floors of a sky scraper and then letting him finish the roof
