Manchester United have shown a complete performance of the season so far as they thrashed Premier League champions by a massive 4-1 win at Old Trafford. Jose Mourinho has decided to put Rooney on the bench for the crucial fixture as the Red Devils are under huge pressure to win the game after their poor showings in the last two weeks.
Leicester City have been very poor in the set pieces as United made the most of it as the Red Devils scored three out of four goals from the corners. Juan Mata who has replaced Rooney as a No.10 has been very impressive while Paul Pogba has shown why he deserved the world record fee in the game.
The attackers have all fared well as Manchester United have put on a dominant performance of the season. Smalling, Mata, Rashford, and Pogba have all scored before half-time as Manchester United went into the break with a four-goal lead which previously happened in 2001.
Leicester City have put in a much more decent performance as they pulled a goal back and have looked decent in their attacks after that put could only manage one goal over the course of the match.
With the win, Manchester United now has 12 points from the six Premier League games while Leicester are still looking to find their feet after losing out Kante to Chelsea as they have a mere 7 points from six games so far.
Here we look how the twitter reacted to the impressive performance of Manchester United.
4 – The last time that @ManUtd led at half-time by a four goal margin in the Premier League was in Feb 2001 v Arsenal (5-1 at HT). History.

Christ almighty, how good does Manchester United look? I suppose it works starting eleven men and leaving the weak link on the bench…

Juan Mata is a natural number 10! His quality n that position is undeniable! Proved it over and over. Has to keep that role for sure!

Juan Mata's been perfect this afternoon. Really done well in linking midfield and full-backs into attacks. Number 10 position should be his.
