Manchester United will return home with 3 points from Vicarage Road Stadium as they have beaten Watford 2-1 in an eventful game in the Premier League game week 13 opener. Watford striker Troy Deeney scored in both ends in the dying minutes of the game to make it a nailbiter.
Deeney who came up as a hero with a late equaliser from the penalty spot for the hosts tonight went from hero to zero in the final five minutes as he turned in Bastian Schweinsteiger’s injury-time shot as Louis van Gaal’s side retuned to the top of the Premier League table.
Memphis Depay scored an early goal for the visitors in his first start since being hauled off at half-time against Arsenal in October. He showed great confidence by breaking the deadlock with a volley after just 11 minutes.
Ander Herrera added to the concerns of the fans and the manager as he was forced off with an injury shortly after assisting Depay for the goal and added a further name in the long injury list of the Red Devils.
Manchester United controlled the game mostly but needed service from David de Gea on numerous occasion and the Spaniard did not let them down. Watford looked to have snatched a point when Deeney converted a late penalty, ending United’s long run without conceding, only for the striker to turn Bastian Schweinsteiger’s injury time shot into his own net.

Can’t believe Depay celebrated that goal by screaming “allahu akbar” at the Watford fans. Disgusting behaviour

Damn. Herrera’s hamstring has gone. Looks like a defensive substitution as well. Injury crisis is hitting us hard!

Seems like every time Herrera plays well for us-he either picks up an injury or LvG drops him. Really sad…
