Twitter reacts as Chelsea register a comprehensive win over Southampton 1

After losing against West Ham in EFL Cup midweek, Chelsea got back to winning ways with a convincing 2-0 over high-flying Southampton.

The Blues dominated the proceedings right from the word go and deservedly took the lead in the sixth minute when Eden Hazard took advantage of a poor marking before cutting inside Steven Davis and coolly finding the back of the net through the legs of keeper Fraser Forster. The 2014-14 Premier League player of the season remained in imperious form throughout the match and came close to scoring his second of the match on several occasions. After the early setback, the Saints enjoyed much of the possession but could not create too many chances. The game was finally put to bed when leading goal scorer of this season, Diego Costa found the back of the net with a brilliant curling effort from 22 yards.

The Blues have now extended their winning run in the league to four games and are just a point behind Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool.
