After the loss to Chelsea, Premier League giants Arsenal hosted Championship outfit Burnley at the Emirates on Saturday, as the two sides met in the fourth round of the FA Cup. The Gunners had won the title in the last two years consecutively and were now hoping to retain it one more time, as they were playing some good positive football this season. Arsene Wenger’s side had been defeated at home in the league by the Blues last weekend and were hoping to recover from that loss. The hosts started the game off more confidently though there were quite a few changes reflecting in their starting eleven.
Arsenal took the lead in the match in the 19th minute, after creating some good moves when Calum Chambers scored with a superb finish from the right-hand side to give his team the lead. An unexpected scorer with a superb finish, after being included in the side in the place of Hector Bellerin. Despite that, the lead did not last long, as Vokes equalized in the 30th minute of the match to make it 1-1. Both sides went into the half-time break level, as they looked to go through to the fifth round of the competition. Alexis Sanchez added a second in the 53rd minute of the match to give his side the lead. The opposition tried their best to equalize, though there were no more goals in the game. It eventually ended 2-1, as the holders went through to the next round of the competition.
Here are how the fans reacted on Twitter to the win:
