UAE draw 0-0 with Bolivia in friendly

Dubai, Nov 17: The Emirati national football team played Bolivia to a scoreless draw in a friendly match Friday at Maktoum bin Rashid Stadium in Dubai.

The home side pressed with tenacity and kept Bolivian goalkeeper Guillermo Viscarra busy in the first half, but the Arab side failed to turn their enthusiasm into goals on Friday.

The most energetic were Ismail Alhammadi and Saif Rashed, who tested Viscarra on several occasions, reports Efe news.

At the other end of the field, Bolivia’s most dangerous play came shortly before the half-hour mark on a corner kick that the Emirati defense cleared, a few minutes before Viscarra managed to save an effort by Rashed.

The second half was a carbon copy of the first 45 minutes, with the balance of possession strongly in favor of the hosts and Viscarra stalwart at the back for Bolivia.

With four minutes left in regulation, Bolivia got a golden chance when a pass from forward Marcelo Martins found midfielder Jhasmani Campos in scoring position only for him to hit the left post with his shot.
