The biggest super star in the world of football, Cristiano Ronaldo has off late been linked with a move away from the Los Blancos.
The world class winger has not been able to consistently show his magic at the Bernabeau and it was tipped off that Ronaldo’s days at Madrid are ticking away.
The World player of the year 2008 has now made it clear that he will not move away from the Spanish capital atleast for a couple of years making Manchester United fans frown as they are desperate for him to come back to Old Trafford.
When Rafa Bentiez was at the helm of Madrid, it looked possible that Ronaldo would make a move to another club but with Zinedine Zidane as the manager, he is now looking to settle in and steer his team to another successful season in Spain.
After being presented with the Pichichi prize for scoring the most goals in la Liga last season Ronaldo, who left Old Trafford in 2009 for a then world record fee of £80m, told Spanish sports paper Marca, “I have been in Spain six years. I was also at Manchester United for six years and that was a great experience, a great championship.”
“But for me this (La Liga) is the best league in the world. It’s a privilege to be here.
“It’s fantastic, competitive, and with great players. It is a privilege to leave my mark on it.”
“I want to be here for a couple more years and then we’ll see. That’s the duration of my contract and I want to give my all in that time.”
Ronaldo’s contract at the Bernabeau expires in 2018 when he will become 33 but for now, his love affair with the Los Blancos and the La Liga is too strong for a Manchester return.
