Definitely one of the most entertaining and dramatic games in the Premier League. Arsenal’s Russian import Andrey Arshavin, who joined the north London club just three months ago, etched his name in the folklore after netting four past a high flying Liverpool side. Arshavin gave the visitors a 1-0 lead nine minutes before the break but goal from Fernando Torres and Yossi Benayoun early into the second half gave Liverpool the advantage.  But two goals inside three minutes from the Russian striker restored Arsenal’s lead. However, that was not the end to a roller-coaster of  a game as Torres restored parity for the hosts only to see Arshavin scored again in the dying seconds to give Arsenal the lead once again. But then a injury team goal from Benayoun ended the entertaining game on 4-4.
The draw was a severe blow to Liverpool’s title ambitions as they  went on to finish second that season, behind arch rivals Manchester United.
