Louis Van Gaal has been known to be quite a guy when it comes to delivering telling speeches and making a statement with his words. The Dutch manager has certainly managed to live to the hype during his first season at Old Trafford.

Some of his interviews during the season were worth listening and he carried the momentum on the Manchester United’s season ending awards night as the manager seemed to a gulp 2-3 extra glass of wine and he was in his full-flight while delivering final speech of the night.

Van Gaal stressed on how the team was struggling early on in the season as they had only 13 points from the first 10 games and it looked bleak in the dressing room. Van Gaal mentioned Wayne Rooney for his consistent belief of finishing higher up the league.

Van Gaal discussed how Manchester United got their season back on track with 6 wins in a row but a loss against Arsenal derailed their progress. Van Gaal stressed on the rather unfair nature of United’s loss to Chelsea despite keeping 28% of the ball possession.

The manager was in an upbeat mode as he laid down few mathematical equation to the fans to ponder. Van Gaal stated that had it not been due to those early season blips and unfortunate losses, United could have ended with 83 points and finished as Champions above Chelsea.

Van Gaal hinted that this team is beginning to find it’s feet and they will do well in coming seasons.

Van Gaal praised the special United fans and told that it is because of them, he will try to do all he can to bring success to Old Trafford.

He left the stage only to come back moments later to astonish everyone by shouting, “hello hello hello .. listen to the manager (referring to Ryan Giggs)” as the Dutcman once again praised the United fans by saying:

“Ryan Giggs said to me, and he is always right but in this case particularly right. I have said to you you are the best fans in the world but tonight I was a little bit disappointed and I shall say why,

“I have seen a lady who plays the saxophone fantastically. Give her big applause!”
