Real Madrid legends took on the Liverpool legends in a one-off charity game in the Spanish capital. The game ended with Real Madrid legends side winning with by a 4-2 score line with Real Madrid favorite Roberto Carlos scoring 2 goals on the night.
The game took place in the aid of Spanish Red Cross and it was billed as the “game of 15 European Cups”.
Both sides fielded their strongest possible starting 11 with names like Zinedine Zidane, Roberto Carlos, Clarence Seedorf, Jamie Carragher, Robbie Fowler and Michael Owen turning on the style of the Madrid crowd.
Among all the returning stars, Bernabeu crowd was most thrilled to see the back of Roberto Carlos. The Brazilian was a crowd favorite and the stadium went in frenzy when his name was taken prior to the kick off.

Among all the star-studded names, it was the lesser known ones in Jason McAteer and Harry Kewell, who combined to score Liverpool’s opening goal. McAteer then provided the assist for Michael Owen to put Liverpool Legends by 2-0 at half-time.
Second half turned up to be completely different with Roberto Carlos striking two near-perfect penalties to bring the Real Madrid side back in the game. Real used their momentum and two goals from Jose Emilio Amavisco and Ivan Perez saw the game end with Real Madrid winning it with a score line of 4-2.
