The world of football has some crazy rules and it has time and again impressed us with some incredible results based on mindless rules.
There are some incredible rules of the game that not many of us have even heard of but what is more dangerous is the most of these rules are left to the interpretation of the referees of the game.
So often there are some blunders and funny incidents on the field of football, which when taken a look at later, will have everyone smiling.
However, one Yannick Cahuzac was not smiling after he was sent off for one of the silliest reasons ever seen in the history of the game.
The UEFA has always spoken about the need for boundaries in the game and have revealed that the punishment for various offences will be taken keeping in mind not just the extent of the offence but also the intention behind it.
So there have been some red cards this season that have divided opinion among the fans.
This weekend, Cahuzac was involved in one such incident that is doing the rounds around the football world at the moment.
Bastia, in the middle of a relegation battle, on their travel to Angers, who are placed 7 points above them in the points table, failed to take a point in the 3-0 loss but this game will be remembered for Cahuzac’s Red Card in the second half of the game.
Having completed his duty on the field, the Bastia player was returning to the technical area, after his number was shown on the substitution board.
He had an off day and was seen strolling off, and right after he tapped his team-mate in, he was slightly hit by the board on the side of his face.
Already having a bad day, Cahuzac did not take it too well and slapped the board out of the referee’s hand.

Though, it does not really constitute and offence, the referee decided that he should be red carded for his actions and this meant that his substitution did not stand.
Right after being subbed off, Cahuzac was sent off, leaving Bastia with just 10 men on the field.
Though it was a mindless gesture, did it deserve a red card?
Bastia would not have gone on to win the game either way but was this decision the right one?
