The internet is buzzing with the heartwarming footage of Cristiano Ronaldo spending time with a young fan from Syria. The tragic earthquakes in Turkey and Syria claimed the life of the father of the 10-year-old kid, Nabeel Saeed, who found some solace in meeting with his ‘hero’ Ronaldo. The Syrian youngster is a die-hard fan of Cristiano Ronaldo.
So, having the opportunity to meet his hero during this difficult personal period should be a huge comfort for him. He received an invitation from Ronaldo’s team Al Nassr to attend their clash against Al-Batin at the Mrsool Park. Nabeel was evidently full of joy after sharing a hug with the Portuguese superstar and for a moment, forgot the pain that had been inflicted upon him in the last few days.

Nabeel lost his father in the earthquakes and now lives with his mother. The kid had been interviewed by Al Jazeera last month, wherein he was asked whom he would take along with at the Mrsool Park to watch Cristiano Ronaldo play. Nabeel quickly replied ‘Mom and dad’ only to heartbreakingly recall that his father was no more. But his dream of watching Ronaldo play come true as he attended the Al Nassr vs Al Batin game on March 3.
Prior to the kick-off, Nabeel met with Ronaldo as the ex-Man United forward warmly hugged the 10-year-old and had a joyful chat as well. The Syrian was full of joy amidst the hard times as the video of Ronaldo comforting him has now gone viral. Just after he realised his dream of meeting his hero, Nabeel told Reuters:
“When I saw Ronaldo, I thought it was a dream. I didn’t believe myself. When this dream would end, I didn’t know. I pray to God that it will not be a dream. I wish everyone could see Ronaldo. He is very nice person.”

Cristiano Ronaldo left Manchester United in November last year to join Al Nassr, who made him the highest paid athlete in the world. The Real Madrid all-time topscorer has repaid their enormous investment by netting an impressive 8 goals in 7 games so far. While he failed to get on the scoresheet in front of Nabeel against Al-Batin, Ronaldo will be hoping to get back to scoring terms in the next outing against Al-Ittihad.
