Trent Alexander-Arnold’s poor form at the back has continued as the Liverpool full-back has come under heavy criticism this season for abysmal defending. Despite all his attacking prowess, Alexander-Arnold has failed to answer the call of his defensive duties, with opponents even taking advantage of the same by attacking his flank. Many of the footballing greats and pundits have slammed the 24-year-old for his such irresponsible defending, but in a first a non-footballing entity too now has taken a jibe at Arnold.
Its none other than YouTube streamer Speed, more professionally known as IShowSpeed. The YouTube sensation rose to fame after his antics in the Sidemen Charity Match between YouTube All Stars and Sidemen FC. Speed recently linked up the Liverpool player for a stream, as he then appeared to joke about the full-back’s defending live on air.

He defended? – Speed aims dig at Trent Alexander-Arnold
Trent Alexander-Arnold has endured a dismal start to the season with Liverpool who currently sit 9th in the Premier League table. The Reds have picked just 4 wins from 12 league games and are evidently out of the title race. Furthermore, concerns are now being raised over their chances of finishing in the top-four with a 8 point gap between them and fourth-placed Newcastle United.
While it has been a collective disaster for Liverpool, much criticism has been aimed at Alexander-Arnold whose inability to help his side in defensive part of the game has cost them dearly. Amidst the Reds’ tight calendar and all the talks surrounding his displays, the England international took out some time to join Speed on a live stream. The YouTube star saw Trent Alexander-Arnold online on Wednesday night post Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Napoli in the Champions League, and somehow got him to set up a joint stream.
The two then contested the Fall Guys game, wherein the Liverpool star came on top. The twist came here as Speed unexpectedly shouted “he defended?” at the right-back, a thinly aimed dig at the criticism he has received for his mediocre defending. However, it didn’t end there as when Alexander-Arnold was about to leave the stream following Speed’s mockery, the American further sang a song to convince him, which rather was another jibe at him.
Speed sang “defend, defend, defend” at the Liverpool star, which prompted him to not waste a single minute and leave the stream abruptly. Here is the full video of the same posted by one of the YouTube streamer’s fans.

Liverpool and Trent Alexander-Arnold will now await their Round of 16 opponents in the Champions League after they finished second in Group A behind Napoli. The Reds are now bound to face any of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Porto or Benfica who topped their respective groups. But before that, a showdown away to Tottenham awaits Jurgen Klopp and co this weekend in the Premier League.
