Watford to land long term Liverpool target and a La Liga winner
In what comes as a blow to many European clubs, Fiorentina star Mario Suarez is reportedly close to a move to EPL side Watford in a shocking move.
Watford have been promoted just this year into the top flight of English football but have shown great promise even against the big clubs. Quiqe Sanchez Flores has done a great job with the players and with European football in sight halfway into the season, they are now linked with an ambitious loan move for ex-Atletico Madrid star Mario Suarez.
Mario Suarez came through the youth ranks at Atletico Madrid under Sanchez Flores and it is understood that the relationship between the two will help Watford secure the signing of the world class player.
Suarez has played 120 games for Atletico Madrid before moving onto the Italian side. But he has not been able to make an impact and is keen on a move away from the club. French side Marseille and English side Liverpool are also in the race for his signature.
But the player has made it clear that he wants to join an EPL club and Watford have emerged as the favorites to land him this January.
The 28-year old has made just 4 starts for the Italian side this season and has scored just one goal a run of form that has seen his value drop in recent times.
However, the Hornets will be delighted to add him to an already dangerous looking side and if he is able to adjust to the Premier League quickly, Watford can easily end up playing European football next season.
