Arsenal take on Aston Villa in a crucial game week 16 encounter on Sunday at the Villa Park.
The Gunners who are currently at the second place in the league table just 2 points behind leaders Leicester City would be desperate to pick up all three points against a vulnerable Aston Villa who are at the rock bottom position in the league table.
Arsenal are flying high at the moment as they defeated Olympiakos 3-0 this week in a must win encounter in the UEFA Champions League. French forward Olivier Giroud scored an enthralling hat-trick which guided Arsenal to the round of 16 with ease.
Wenger would want his team to keep up the momentum in the Premier League.
Speaking ahead of the match against Aston Villa the boss said: “No new injuries. Alexis Sanchez is the shortest one, the rest will be back after Christmas.”
Wenger hailed Olivier Giroud and said: “Wednesday was one of his best performances. His link play has improved. He wants to always improve.”
On the January transfer window, the manager dodged tricky question intelligently by saying: “We will see what is there. We have a whole December to go first.”
The French man heaped praises for opponent manager Remi Garde. He opined: “He is intelligent. We are competitors so let him do his job. They added some French players but we have to focus on our performance.”
He further added: “Six to eight teams can compete for the Premier League.
“The modern world is more impatient. Public opinion can be very emotional.
“In Europe, you have to mind your next Premier League fixture.”
Wenger concluded his presser classily as he said: “I just want to do well. I’m happy to do well for everyone at Arsenal”
