Wenger reveals how Arsenal can beat EPL giants to win the league title!!

Following Arsenal’s excellent start to the new season, Arsene Wenger will be quietly confident of his side’s chances of winning the Premier League.

Twenty points from a possible 27 is a fine return and one that currently finds them joint top with Manchester City and Liverpool, who they memorably lost 4-3 to on the opening day.

Since then, it’s been nothing but positive. The Gunners are on an eight-game unbeaten strike in the league having beaten Chelsea 3-0, Southampton 2-1 and Hull City 4-1.

Saturday’s goalless draw with Middlesbrough will have dampened spirits in the Arsenal camp somewhat, but against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light next weekend, they have the perfect opportunity to get back to winning ways.

Questions remain over whether Arsenal can maintain a challenge for the title, but for Wenger, he’s confident his side have the quality to do so.

Speaking at the club’s AGM today, Wenger predicted how many points the Gunners will need to end their 12-year wait for Premier League glory.

He told reporters, per the Mirror: “I believe we have a complete team in a very competitive league.

“If you look now it is 20 points, which means the championship will be decided between 82 to 86 points.

“What we have learnt since the start of the season is every game is a fight and you need absolutely to be at your best to win.

“That means we have to be really focused on details, keeping the energy inside our club but even more inside our team as every single detail can get you points.

“We have an important month in front of us (end of October and November). We have many big games and having our injuries back could play a key part in that.”

Wenger also explained how he’s aiming for success in the EFL Cup – Arsenal take on Reading in the Round of 16 tonight – and the Champions League, where his men currently sit top of Group A.

“I believe the team has the commitment, togetherness, hunger, desire and unity and we have a good chance to compete for the Premier League,” the recently turned 67-year-old added.

“Our challenge is to compete for everything starting tomorrow in the League Cup and even if you see some new faces our desire is to qualify and fight for everything.

“I believe we have a squad that is more mature and better equipped to cope with all the challenges we have.

“That is the target and I am absolutely committed to fulfil and give my best so that we are successful until the end of the season.

“Let’s meet these challenges together as you have a big part to play in our success and I wish you all the best.”
