West ham United are aiming to sign Javier Hernandez from Manchester United in coming weeks as reports of a £9million bid have surfaced around the Upton Park.

According to Sky Sports, a West Ham approach has been made for the out of favor striker at Old Trafford. Chicharito, as he if fondly known was loaned at Real Madrid last season in hope of some consistent playing-time.

However, the Mexican was benched for most part of the season and now he is on the hunt of a new club. Hernandez joined United back in 2010 and was a success until the 2013-14 season where he completely lost his touch playing for United.

Part of the reason was the arrival of Robin Van Persie, as the Dutchman was an easy starter ahead of Hernandez and it took a toll on the Mexican’s performances on the pitch.

It has been confirmed that Louis Van Gaal does not want the striker at Manchester United next season and has been asked to look for a new club.

Having seen his talents in the Premier League, West Ham United are prepared to see an instinctive striker who always has an eye for goal. His movements are one of the hardest to mark in Premier League and IF he signs for the Hammers, new manage Slavan Bilic will have a whole new dimension to his side.

For now, Hernandez’s name has also been linked MLS side Oralando Pirates, however, West Ham United, Premier League and the Millennium Stadium would be a huge opportunity to let go for the Mexican striker.
