Zinedine Zidane is one of those characters of the game, when he speaks people tend to listen in agreement. However, Zidane’s latest comments on Paul Pogba will not please the Premier League hotshots Manchester United and Chelsea.
Speaking to Canal Plus, Zidane discussed Pogba’s much anticipated Summer Transfer and said that it is unsurprising for him to see Real Madrid show interest in the player and added that if Pogba decides to join forces with Real Madrid it would only be a logical decision.
Zidane, who joined Real Madrid from Juventus in 2007 believes that Paul Pogba despite his young age is one of the best players in the world right now and he has ample time to develop in to one of the all-time great players of his era.
Zidane linked Real Madrid’s desire to sign Pogba with his talent in the most convenient of the ways when the former Real Madrid superstar said:
“Considering his age and potential, I think he can progress even more. When we’re talking about a player like this, it’s logical Real Madrid and other big clubs are interested.”
Paul Pogba has kept the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea on their toes by not committing his future either to Juventus or to the Premier League sides. Key men at Juventus believe that Pogba’s time with Juventus will come to an end after the current season finishes.
Giuseppe Marotta, Director General at Juventus thinks Pogba will decide whee he wants to play next and nobody can influence him.
Speaking to the Italian press Marotta said: “Pogba is the protagonist of his own destiny and if he decides to leave then we can’t stop him,”
“I don’t know where he’ll go, so you’d have to ask him that. Currently he’s at Juve.
