Jos Buttler’s finger injury might keep him from participating in Rajasthan Royals’ (RR) next IPL 2023 encounter and Delhi Capitals (DC) will miss their all-rounder Mitchell Marsh in their next match, Cricbuzz reported.
Buttler has been in terrific form for RR in the ongoing tournament, scoring a brilliant half-century in RR’s opening match win against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). However, in their next encounter against Punjab Kings, the England white-ball captain injured his finger while taking a sliding catch and didn’t open the innings for the RR side.
Instead he batted at no.3 and failed to make an impact as he felt the pain due to his injured finger. And now Cricbuzz has reported that the Rajasthan Royals management is waiting on its medical staff’s report on Jos Buttler’s finger injury as he reportedly had to get sutures on his finger after taking that catch against PBKS.
RR will next take on Delhi Capitals in Guwahati in a day match on Saturday, April 8.
Mitchell Marsh To Miss Delhi Capitals’ Next Match Against Rajasthan Royals
On the other hand, Delhi Capitals, who suffered a loss at the hands of Gujarat Titans in their own home in Delhi, will miss the services of Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh for a week as he flies back home for his wedding.
The youngest son of former Australian cricketer, coach, and selector Geoff Marsh, Mitch Marsh got engaged to his girlfriend Greta Mack on September 11, 2021, after he proposed to his now-fiance in WA’s south-west, where it is believed the bride-to-be’s family operates business The Farm Margaret River.
Marsh and Mack had been dating for more than 18 months, with the brunette beauty first appearing with the talented cricketer back in February 2020.
