Ali has Irish roots
Maybe not surprising watching Ali’s gift of gab, but his great-grandfather Abe Grady was actually an Irishman who in the 1860s emigrated to the United States and settled in Kentucky. There he later started his married life with a freed slave, and one of their grandchildren was Ali’s mother, Odessa Lee Grady Clay.
