To decide the winner, both teams participated in a bowl out with 5 bowlers from each side aiming at the stumps.
Pakistan had the likes of Umar Gul and Shahid Afridi bowling their turn while the India skipper started the bowl out with Virender Sehwag. He also gave Uthappa a bowl in the bowl out and with both players hitting the stumps, the Men in Blue went home with a victory.
It was a clever decision by Dhoni to give the spinners a go such a tough situation.
