4. No settled combination to their playing XI
Pune Super Giants did not have settled combination to their playing XI in this year’s IPL. They made lots of changes every match in their 11. Their opening combination Rahane was settled but after that they did not have options after so many injuries to their key foreign players. Irfan Pathan who played out 1 match before yesterday’s match was not given chances in previous matches. M Ashwin also was not in the team because of injury. As like Kolkata Knight Riders, Pune Super Giants was struggling to get their perfect XI in the tournament which could have saved them from being eliminated in the first round itself.
