WWE has added one last championship match to the WrestleMania 36 match card on this past Monday night during Raw. The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) will have to defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships against Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross at WrestleMania 36. It will be a cross-brand match as the champions belong to Raw whereas the challengers reside on the SmackDown brand.
Update On Match Card Order Of Two-Night WWE Wrestlemania 36 Event
It’s fair that WWE has set up this match despite the brand barriers as the women’s tag team championships could float across different brands since the unveiling was done.
Superstars from NXT also received a chance to challenge for the coveted gold. Coming back to the point, Alexa Bliss was campaigning for the golds for a long time over on social media as Asuka and Kairi Sane were not putting on the line, so frequently.

The Goddess finally get a chance to secure the challenger’s spot as WWE scheduled a singles contest between her and the Empress of Tomorrow on last week’s SmackDown on FOX. Alexa Bliss picked up the clean pinfall win via her pendant DDT which, in turn, confirmed this title match at WrestleMania from the women’s division.
The good news does not end here for Bliss and Cross as they are likely to walk out as new champions once this title match at WrestleMania 36 gets over.
Becky Lynch Speaks On Historic WWE Raw Women’s Title Reign
According to the reports provided by Wrestling Observer, Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross are expected to capture the titles at WrestleMania 36, this weekend. Here’s what the source had to offer regarding the title change,
“The fact that it’s WrestleMania and it’s going to be a lot of babyfaces winning and I would think that would favour Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross, plus they haven’t done a lot with them of late and Alexa Bliss is a company favourite.” (courtesy wwfoldschool.com)

If the title change happens then Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross would be the only team in women’s division in history to capture the tag team belts on two separate occasions. The title would then go back to SmackDown, once the biggest event of the year gets over.
Incidentally, it will be sweet revenge for Bliss and Cross as their reign came to an end by the Kabuki Warriors during the 2019 fall. Since then the two heels held on to the belts to become the longest-reigning champions with these golds. But it may be time to drop them to the two besties from WWE’s blue brand.
