It’s very rare to have a Women’s Champion for a longer tenure but in recent times, we have had it for a couple of occasions. Ronda Rousey was the one to set a record with her title run back in the 2018-19 season.
Becky Lynch surpassed it with ease and is now targeting to set a unique record that nobody has ever thought of doing, previously.
Did WWE Hall Of Famer Edge Deny To Perform At Wrestlemania 36?
The current title reign of Becky Lynch with the RAW Women’s Championship has almost touched the 1-year mark. She won both the RAW and Smackdown Women’s Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 35 that took place on April 7th, 2019.
While she has lost the Smackdown Women’s title since then, the red-shaded belt is intact in her shoulder. Lynch should pass the 365-day mark with the title given she defeats Shayna Baszler this weekend at WrestleMania 36.
Becky Lynch spoke about this unique achievement that could belong to her at WrestleMania 36 which has already been filmed with zero audiences at the PC and will air in a taped format.
Wrestlemania Week Announced On WWE Network; List Of Programs Revealed
While appearing in an interview with Sporting News, The Man said that she has very little time thinking about it. But she had to work hard for success which also brings new challenges, alongside.
“Yeah. I’ve had a little time to think about it. It’s pretty crazy and it brings its own challenges. And because of that, because I’ve had it for a year, I’ve been nonstop going for a year, over a year,” Becky Lynch said during the interview. “So, it really was a case of constantly going and constantly being on the go and now and I’ve finally gotten the chance to reflect on the past year and reflect on what I want for the future, the next year, which is pretty cool.”
Paige Says WWE In-Ring Comeback Is Always A Possibility
The hard thing about a longer title tenure is that people can often get bored seeing the same champion day in day out. But that was not the exact case for Becky Lynch who managed to keep her craze intact amongst the crowd. The interviewer asked Lynch how she stopped herself from getting monotonous when she came up with the following statements,
“Always adapting. Always adapt and always trying to change and take chances. Take risks and sometimes they don’t work, sometimes you might fall flat on your face but you got to keep trying and I think that’s the most important thing. Be willing to go out there and be willing to change and be willing to try things even if they don’t work.”
Adaptation comes from new challenges and Becky Lynch constantly remains in search of that. This year’s WrestleMania will be the most unique experience for the superstars as there won’t be any fans surrounding the arena.
This is happening for the first-time-ever as the superstars might not find enough enthusiasm to get pumped up without the fans cheering or booing them. But Becky has one personal view on how to make the matches interesting,
“The people that are watching at home, the millions of people that are watching at home, you have to tell them a story. You have to give them a reason to care. You have to give them a reason to think about something else for a little bit whether it’s an hour or three hours or whatever it is. Then you just figure out how can I do this the best and that’s all this ever is for me: how can I do this the best.” (quotes courtesy sescoops.com)
