Alexis Sanchez Confirms He Has Taken A Decision On His Future 1

Arsenal have a busy summer up ahead of them as they will find it tough to attract top transfer targets to the club, having failed to qualify for the Champions League next season.

The Gunners finished outside the top-4 for the first time under Arsene Wenger’s two-decade tenure but the manager is leaving no stone unturned in trying to bring the club back to its best.

The Frenchman is trying to add some top class quality to his first team next season and is already close to making a sensational swoop in Alexandre Lacazette this summer.

However, he has some bigger issues in the squad as he will have to quickly settle the future of Chilean winger Alexis Sanchez.

The former Barcelona man is currently busy at the Confederations Cup where his Chile side went on to the final.

But Sanchez’s time with the club is not at its best at the moment as he is yet to sign a new contract, even with just a year left on his current deal with the club.

This has seen him linked with an exit constantly with the likes of Manchester City and Bayer ready to meet his valuation.

Arsenal offer huge wages

But the Gunners are looking to offer him wages and bonuses that might be enough to keep him at the club beyond the next season.

However, the Chilean does not seem too confident of staying back at the Emirates and revealed that he does not know if he will play for Arsenal yet again.

In a recent press conference after a game in the Confederations Cup, Alexis Sanchez was quizzed about his club future and the 28-year old was smart in not letting anything slip up.

“I have decided my future” says Sanchez

In the press conference, Sanchez was asked if he looks forward to playing alongside his national team-mate Claudio Bravo at the Etihad, Sanchez laughed off the question.

He responded with a diplomatic “Good question. Right now I’m focused on the Confederations Cup,’ reply.

“When this is finished I will see if I stay or if I go. I don’t know.”

Sanchez was then asked: “Is it clear in your mind or have you not decided?”

And the striker said: “Yes it’s clear but I can’t tell you.”

Following the press conference, Sky Sports reporter Bryan Swanson asked the 28-year-old about his future.

“Alexis, I’m from Sky Sports, what are the chances of you staying at Arsenal?” Swanson asked

“I don’t know my friend, I don’t know,” Sanchez replied.
