Not much time is left for the PKL 9 auctions. Pardeep Narwal, the star of last year’s pro kabaddi league has been released by UP Yoddha, will be one of the auction’s main attractions. Pardeep was bought for the huge sum of 1.65 crore at the PKL 8 auction, and he eventually became the highest-ever bought player in the history of PKL. This time the auctions have become more interesting with the inclusions of big names being part of the auction.
Pradeep having the capability to single-handedly change the complexion of matches, it will not be surprising to see a bid higher than ₹1.65 crore in this edition, a record which is currently held by Pardeep himself.
In the previous edition of the Pro Kabaddi League, Pardeep did not get off to the best of starts and looked pretty rusty initially. However, the ‘Dubki King’ came into his own and finished the season on a high, scoring the sixth-highest raid points in the tournament. Although his form seems to have dipped, as was seen in the recently concluded 69th Men’s Senior Nationals, Pardeep is a name that is feared and will certainly fetch a significant bid.

1- Telugu Titans
The Telugu Titans had a rough season in PKL 8, winning just one match in the entire tournament. In the absence of the injured Siddharth Desai, whom the team was banking upon to do the bulk of the scoring, the Titans just collapsed. However, this time the Telugu Titans will surely look up to Pradeep Narwal to improve their performance from last year.
2- Haryana Steelers
Failing to make it to playoffs last year the franchise has decided to make wholesale changes to the squad, not retaining a single Elite Player this year. This yea , the Steelers will be gunning for a lead raider and the experienced Pardeep Narwal could very well be one of their best bets.
3- Gujarat Giants
Gujarat Giants are short of an experienced raider. They retained Sonu, Rakesh, Gaurav, and Sohit before the auction, and could be eyeing on Pardeep Narwal too. Pradeep’s inclusion in the team could fill the void of an experienced raider.
4- Tamil Thalaivas
The Thalaivas just managed to get 5 wins last year from a total of 22 matches in the last season. After retaining 8 players this season the Thalaivas will be looking for an experience player to their squad and no one can be better than Pardeep narwal, who would help them to come back on track.
