Arn Anderson has worked with Kevin Owens previously and he believes that Owens should have made his main roster debut as a babyface. As we all remember, Kevin Owens made his WWE main roster debut way back in 2015 and he squared off directly against John Cena.
Their first encounter took place at the Elimination Chamber PPV event of 2015 where surprisingly, Owens defeated John Cena, and what was even more surprising, it was a clean victory that nobody expected.

The fans were seriously hoping that finally, Cena is going to push new talent. But it did not happen, on their next matches, Cena did what he was famous for, killed the movement of the new guy. He defeated Owens back to back twice and his last victory was by submission.
Apart from this, a lot of fans and critics debated against Owens’ heel gimmick during that time period. It was believed that he had all the credibility to be the next Stone Cold Steve Austin. WWE is just slowing down his pace by using him as a heel.
Owens has finally turned babyface but only to lose to Roman Reigns again and again. Arn Anderson recently on an episode of Arn said he also thought Kevin Owens should have made his roster debut as a babyface. He also revealed why it was a little bit difficult to work as his agent;
As far as someone getting out of their own way, I will say this, because I hope that it’s gotten better. I think Kevin Owens, when he first got there, I think should have been used right out of the get-go as a babyface, not a heel.
Forget about the fact that he doesn’t have a world-class body and all that stuff. I just thought, once I saw that first night that he wrestled John Cena, [the fans] were soundly behind the guy. Maybe he’s kind of like me, he’s the everyday man.
He’s just got a lot more skills and a lot more high-tech skills. But there were a lot of times, and I’ve told Kevin this, he was a pain in the ass arguing over trivial things that really didn’t matter. OK, we could do your idea, but how about this idea?
They both work kind of, but this is just easier, and it would be a long-drawn-out discussion, and he and I’ve had this talk before. I hope he’s doing better. He’s been there a long time. He’s making a shit-pot of money I’m sure and good for him.
Owens will square off against Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 37 and that is for the first time as a babyface. The match did not receive any good build-up but a match between these two individuals is always exciting to see.
