Arsenal Want Chelsea Reject Juan Cuadrado 1

Arsenal are making some huge strides in the transfer market as Arsene Wenger does not want to go another season without Champions League football.

The Gunners are close to landing Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette and Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez in the upcoming days but Wenger is adamant to add more quality to his attack and is also looking at other players who can add to the first team next season.

Arsenal are close to losing their talisman in Alexis Sanchez this summer but Wenger seems determined to add enough firepower to his squad to help him compensate the loss of the Chilean this summer.

And it is now understood that he is looking at Juventus star Juan Cuadrado for a move for the next season.

The Colombian international has been on the books of Chelsea for more than two years now but ha spent the last couple of seasons on loan in Turin.

And not too long ago, he completed a permanent switch to the Italian side on a £17.6m deal from Chelsea.

Italian Journalist Claims Arsenal Want Him At Any Cost

The Blues have not been able to use Cuadrado in the first team in his time at the Bridge but according to an Italian journalist, Arsenal are desperate to add the 29-year old to their squad this summer.

according to Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri who contributes for SNAI Sportnews in Italy, Arsenal are ready to make yet another bid for the player in the upcoming days.

The Italian giants, who have just made his deal permanent might be reluctant to sell but Palmeri claims that Old Lady might be ready to sell him if the Arsenal meet his valuation.

Juventus want £22m for his services this summer and in this inflated market, it is a steal.

Agent Denies Any Move

But like many transfer stories in the past, this deal also has another side to it.

Alessandro Lucci, the agent of the 29-year old is adamant that he wants to stay back in Italy.

“Juan does not want to leave Juve and Juve do not want to sell him so there are no ongoing negotiations at the moment,” Lucci said recently.

“Nobody has neither contacted me nor Juventus and I am the only one in charge to talk about the future of Juan,” he added.

His contract with Juve runs down in 2020. So do you think Arsenal will be able to land him?
