Arsenal could be breaking Premier League wage rules if they offer new deals to both Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil. Both the players are yet to sign contract extensions with the club despite lengthy negotiations that last over the past season.
The club are aware of the cost control measures that are put in place by Premier League regulations and will need to ensure that their wage bill for the next season should not be more than £7m than the 2016-17 season.
It is understood that Gunners are willing to offer massive new contracts to both Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez which could be worth up to £280,000 a week for each of the two players. This would easily ensure that the club would breach the rule.
However, the club will need to sell some of their players to ensure that they are within the regulations. The likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Olivier Giroud and Jack Wilshere are all linked with a move away from London and the club needs to decide on their transfer plans for the next season.
There is also an option to generate external revenue by through matchday or commercial revenue but it remains highly unlikely for the club to increase the already inflated prices.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is a key target for Liverpool as the Reds are ready to submit a massive bid to sign him. Olivier Giroud has been linked with a move away from the club as he seeks more playing time in the next season.
Barcelona are also very keen to make a move for Hector Bellerin as the Spaniard is one of their top targets for the summer. The Bluagrana are willing to offer Rafinha plus £20m for the right back.
There are also numerous want away players who might have only a little role for the upcoming seasons including the likes of Wojciech Szczesny, Calum Chambers, Lucas Perez, Kieran Gibbs, Chuba Akpom and Carl Jenkinson.
It remains to be seen if Arsenal will let their stars leave or offer them new deals and let some of the fringe players leave the squad for next season.
