Former England skipper Andrew Strauss stepped down from the position as the Strategic Adviser from the ECB Board and Chair of the Performance Cricket Committee. Strauss who served in the position for the last year or so feels it is the right time to move away from this role.
Former Director of England Cricket Andrew Strauss said that he enjoyed his time in ECB management and tried to contribute to the team’s success in the best way possible and revealed that with increasing opportunities, he wanted to explore new roles in the future and wished the new board to achieve massive success in forthcoming years.
“I’ve really enjoyed my time at the ECB and am proud of having contributed to a successful period for our England teams. With increasing commitments outside of the organization, sadly I’ve decided it’s time to step away from my current role. I wish the new Board all the very best as it continues in its mission to grow our game,” Andre Strauss said.
With country cricket and hundred being the major leagues for England scheduled to begin the ECB board will look to appoint new officials to take the role for a smooth transition in the management.

England Cricket Board (ECB) Richard Thompson hailed Andrew Strauss for his outstanding contribution to English cricket and said that he enjoyed working with him during the time ECB management and wants him to make a comeback in the future to grow English Cricket.
“Andrew has given outstanding service to English cricket over many years in several different roles. I’ve greatly valued the advice and expertise he has provided in my time as Chair, and have enjoyed working with him.
“We are currently implementing the vast majority of recommendations from his impressive High-Performance Review, which I believe will help our England Men’s teams to sustain their success. I have no doubt he has much more to contribute to the game and hope he will return in the future,” Richard Thomspon said.
England’s cricket team has been in a purple patch in the world of cricket. The team has been enjoying success in both the white-ball format and the red-ball format. England team is the current world champion in T20 and ODI cricket.
