A match which lasted for 3 hours and 32 minutes, saw Andy Murray coming out as the victor in a grueling 4-set match against the number 10 seed Grigor Dimitrov.
The match was filled with top class Tennis from both players showcasing their talent with the racquet and a few incidents rather gestures which should be avoided on a Tennis court, like Dimitrov throwing the racquet in anger. The fun part in the match started in the first set itself but Murray held on to his nerves to win it 6-4. Serving for another set win, Andy Murray was broken which lead the set go in the tie-breaker.
Grigor Dimitrov displayed some disciplined Tennis with calculated risks and won the tie breaker and the set. With 1-1, the third set was actually a lot easier for Murray as he broke Dimitrov once and then took the set 6-3. What happened in the fourth set is not new to Tennis, but whenever such things happen, it is always a delight to watch. With Dimitrov leading the set 5-3, and serving for the fourth set victory, Murray made an inexplicable come back out of nowhere to break the serve and then served to equal games at 5-5.
He once again broke Dimitrov which got him furious and Dimitrov threw the racquet in anger causing it to break into pieces. This kind of gesture should not be tolerated and he deserves disciplinary action on it. Murray held onto another set for the fourth set victory and won an epic clash. Coming back from 5-2 is never easy but he did it and eventually won the set 7-5 and the match by 6-4, 6-7, 6-3, 7-5.
Murray has qualified for the quarter-finals along with Rafeal Nadal who will play Tomas Berdych and Andy Murray will be against Nick Krygios of Australia. The next match for Murray is going to be a tough one for two reasons. Nick Krygios is in his prime form and being an Australian, the crowd support for him will be tremendous.
