Manchester United are given a significant boost in their pursuit to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Renato Sanches with the Germans ready to let him go in a cut-price deal, according to reports.
The Portuguese wonder kid, who earned a name for himself during his stint with Benfica and during 2016 Euro championships, had found it difficult to break into the star-studded Bayern Munich lineup as he looked poor during his first season at Allianz Arena.
Carlo Ancelotti is desperate to get rid of the 19-year old after his outings over the past 12 months and the club are ready to offer him to Manchester United for a significantly lesser price. Bayern have reduced £8million in their asking rate from last month in an attempt to sell him before the end of summer transfer window.
Jose Mourinho had expressed his interest in signing him last summer but had failed to convince him with the midfielder moving to Germany. However, the Portuguese tactician is once again ready to make Sanches signing a priority.
He wants Renato Sanches alongside Paul Pogba and Ander Herrera in his midfield for next season as per the report from German newspaper Kicker.
Bayern are ready to let him leave for just £22.5million at the moment, a stark contrast to a month when they demanded £30million for the Golden Boy winner last summer. Bayern Munich already made two important signings for their midfield already in the summer for Xabi Alonso.
Sebastian Rudy will join the club on a free transfer from Hoffenheim whereas Bayern broke their transfer record to sign Tolisso from Lyon last week. The new additions mean Sanches could once again be set for a spell on the bench as there are too many quality midfielders in Bayern’s midfield.
However, it remains to be seen if Sanches will look for another season at Bayern before making a move from the club or he will be willing to move to Old Trafford this summer.
Bayern Munich are also set to offload Douglas Costa as Italian champions Juventus are believed to be the front-runners after the clubs agreed on terms over the Brazilian’s transfer.
