Tyson Fury, The Postponement, and Covid-19

According to Fury’s promoter Bob Arum, Tyson is in high spirits and doing better than ever despite the trilogy fight with Deontay being postponed, losing his U.S arbitrator’s case, or even by testing positive for covid-19 recently. It seems nothing can bring him down.

Out of all the things that have happened to Fury in the past six months, losing his arbitration hearing with Wilder is the worst of them all. When the U.S arbitration hearing results were finally released, Fury was under the impression that he’d be getting a $100+ million payday against Anthony Joshua for August fourteenth in Saudi Arabia. However, The arbitrator ruled against Fury, claiming to fight Wilder for the third time. That choice came at a tremendous financial expense for Fury. No matter how well his promoter says, Fury is dealing with the news; losing that much money had to have been extremely difficult for Fury to process mentally.

With all of that happening, Fury (30-0-1, 21 KOs) stays, as usual, a calm individual who is going to be defending his WBC heavyweight title against Wilder (42-1-1, 41 KOs) on

October ninth at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fans need to keep an eye out for this match since this could be the last time Fury and Wilder fight against one another, sadly. If the previous WBC champion Wilder doesn’t put in his best effort, he will get beaten unequivocally yet again, which should lead to the end of their rivalry.

Did Fury Genuinely Have Covid-19?

From all the evidence received, we can assume that Fury did not have Covid19. They think that Fury was getting pounded by his sparring partners and felt that there was no way to beat Wilder, so he thought of the COVID-19 excuse to give himself more time to get ready for the fight.

If the fan’s theories about Fury are true, he has three additional months to prepare for the fight against Wilder. That is time that Fury can use to bulk up to the 270s, roughly where his weight was in 202 when he fought Wilder.

In Fury’s most recent posts on social media, he’s discussed hitting the weights and attempting to develop his strength and build up his size for the trilogy match with Deontay. This supports the belief that Fury was getting beaten up by his sparring partners Jared Anderson and Efe Ajagba, so he required additional time to prepare for the fight with Wilder.

Speaking of postponing fights and the disappointments surrounding those decisions, let’s take a look at another much-anticipated fight that fans will now have to wait longer for.
