It looks like the good days for Braun Strowman is over on Smackdown soon after picking up the Universal Championship at Wrestlemania 36. He made the unthinkable happen at the night II of the ‘show of shows’ by pinning none other than Goldberg.

But a tougher challenge awaits for him on Smackdown, moving forward. It looks like “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt will be challenging WWE Universal Champion Braun Strowman for the title, soon.

Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross Retain Titles On WWE Smackdown; Receives New Opponent

Last night’s post-WrestleMania 36 edition of WWE SmackDown on FOX opened with Braun Strowman celebrating his title win over WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg.

He was then interrupted by Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro that led to the main event of the night. Strowman took on Nakamura in a non-title match to come up as the winner despite distractions provided by Cesaro.

WWE To Celebrate 25 Years Of Triple H In The Company

The post-win celebration for Braun Strowman was then interrupted by Bray Wyatt, who was at the Firefly Fun House. Wyatt recalled The Fiend defeated John Cena at WrestleMania 36, before addressing Strowman, who was watching to the tron from the ring placed at the empty WWE Performance Center.

Wyatt took us back to Strowman’s time in The Wyatt Family. He was the one to bring Strowman out of the swamp and gave him hope but then Strowman turned his back on Bray Wyatt, his family, and his creator.

The Eater of the World then pointed out that Braun Strowman has something that he wants back, which is the title on his shoulder. Wyatt warned that he brought Strowman into this world and will now have to take him out.

Money In The Bank Qualifiers, Title Match & More Announced For Next WWE Smackdown

It was time for Wyatt to end the Firefly Funhouse but Strowman stopped him and went on to taunt the alter ego of Wyatt, The Fiend. SmackDown came to an end with Wyatt and Strowman staring each other down.

There’s no confirmation available on the progression of Bray Wyatt vs. Braun Strowman. But this post-Mania feud is most likely to culminate in a match at WWE Money in the Bank.

The PPV has been canceled from the host venue in Baltimore. But WWE will conduct the show from the empty PC in Orlando, Florida just like they have conducted Wrestlemania 36 in two separate nights.
