After weeks of speculations, WWE has now officially confirmed that WrestleMania 36 will no longer take place in Tampa, Florida. It will now air live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. This venue has become the new home for WWE TV programming in recent times as it appears to be a safe option for the company to culminate in the show of shows.

With that being said, WWE’s biggest event of the year will no longer take place at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay and the reason behind it is the Coronavirus pandemic. But the show will still air live on the WWE Network and pay-per-view on Sunday, April 5 at 7 pm ET as per the original schedule.

But WWE also informed that there won’t be any crowd as “only essential personnel” will be in attendance on the closed set. This has been the tradition for the past editions of Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown. Here’s the statement released by the WWE,
“In coordination with local partners and government officials, WrestleMania and all related events in Tampa Bay will not take place. However, WrestleMania will still stream live on Sunday, April 5 at 7 pm ET on WWE Network and be available on pay-per-view. Only essential personnel will be on the closed set at WWE’s training facility in Orlando, Florida to produce WrestleMania.”

It was also informed by the company that the scheduled weekend programs have also been canceled. The COVID-19 outbreak in the Tampa area has forced to do the changes.
