WWE News: Full List Of Cancelled Shows Due To Coronavirus Pandemic

Coronavirus is letting its impact feel all around the world. The effect of this deadly virus is being felt in all aspects of human life. The sports and entertainment industry is being hampered in a big way as big gatherings are prohibited as precautionary measures to stop the potential attack of Coronavirus. Local Govt.s are taking such steps, every now and then.

WWE was able to keep themselves detached from the Coronavirus pandemic for a long time. But at this point, they can’t really stay away from taking preventive measures.

Breaking: WWE Smackdown To Air Without Audience Due To Coronavirus

An event cancellation became inevitable as the first big blow came in the form of this week’s episode of SmackDown. They could not host the show from the original host venue as per schedule due to Coronavirus as an alternative venue was chosen.

As per the official announcement given by WWE.com, Friday the 13th episode of SmackDown has been canceled from the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan. It has now been shifted to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida where the live audience won’t be entertained. Only essential personnel will be in attendance for the show.

With that being said, WWE has become the latest to the list of companies that called off scheduled shows. Here’s a list provided by ringsidenews.com to those pro-wrestling events which have to either withdrawn or rescheduled,

March 13th: Friday Night SmackDown – Moved to WWE Performance Center

March 14th: Toronto live event at Coca-Cola Coliseum canceled

March 15th: Youngstown, Ohio live event canceled

March 22nd: Madison Square Garden – New York City Live Event In Danger Of Being Affected

April 5th: WrestleMania 36 – Tampa, Florida could be canceled as another meeting is called to decide the fate of the ‘show of shows.’

AEW
March 18th: AEW Dynamite – Rochester has an event ban but AEW not issued any official statement on this.

March 25th: AEW Dynamite: Blood & Guts – An event ban is being discussed.

EVOLVE WRESTLING
March 14th & 15th: EVOLVE 147 & EVOLVE 148 postponed to May 8th in Livonia, Michigan and May 9th in Chicago Illinois.

NEW JAPAN PRO-WRESTLING
All events have been canceled from March 1st through 21st

OTT WRESTLING
March 14th: Scrappermania 6
STARDOM
March 15th

PWG
March 29th “Kobe” event at the Globe Theater in Los Angeles

XFL
They called off the remainder of the 2020 season.

At this point, the cancellation of WrestleMania 36 remains a big matter of discussion. Never in the history of the showcase of immortals, such uncertainty clouded over this show. Meetings and discussions are likely to go down in Tampa within the WWE officials to seal the fate of the biggest sports entertainment show of the year due to Coronavirus.
