The situation around Charlotte Flair seems to be pretty uncertain, at this point. As reported earlier, the ten-time women’s champion was set to miss the rest of 2020 due to a surgery scheduled in days to follow. It was noted that she has zero percent of chance to perform at SummerSlam 2020 who can only be back around Survivor Series in November.
But going by the updated reports, WWE seems to already have a return plan for her which could culminate at SummerSlam! During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Charlotte Flair is set for a three-way title feud upon her return. She could be gunning for yet another title run with the comeback. But Nia Jax and Asuka will be waiting to stop her.

It should be noted that WWE always had this triple threat match in-store for SummerSlam which was supposedly scrapped after Charlotte Flair picked up a kayfabe injury on this week’s episode of WWE RAW. Now it seems, the company can’t afford her to be gone for a long time and hence the creative plans for SummerSlam are still on the card.
There’s no confirmed return time-table for Charlotte Flair, yet. Her surgery has nothing to do with the shoulder that Nia Jax injured, this week. But no other additional information is also available on what surgical procedures she might be needing and thus we can’t assume the recovery time. But it seems WWE already has plans for her to be executed as soon as she decides to be back in action.
Earlier to this, talkSPORT was the source to report that Charlotte Flair was ready for a long break in the WWE. At first, it was informed that she would be off TV for a couple of months. It was also noted that if there’s no good storyline for her, she might also be kept off TV for the rest of the year.
“Flair is taking a long break from WWE, and she’ll be off TV for a couple of months. If there’s no good storyline for her, she might not be on TV for the rest of the year.
Sources have told talkSPORT that Flair will be taking an extended break from WWE. The 34-year-old has been a constant on the show for years now and she is going to be taking some personal time and having some surgery.
The idea is that she will return around Royal Rumble season next year, but if a good story pops up before then – around Survivor Series – she would be open to return later this year.
There’s a 0 percent chance Charlotte returns for SummerSlam.”
But the circumstances changed in recent times as we can now expect to see The Queen back on Raw, much earlier than expected. Charlotte Flair is the most trusted shoulder for Vince McMahon in the current women’s division and The Boss won’t want her to be out for a long time, it appears.
