Chelsea is keen to sign Inter Milan midfielder Ivan Perisic, according to reports in Italian media. The Croatian international is in sensational form for Nerazzurri this season as he caught the eyes of some of the biggest clubs across Europe.

Premier League rivals Manchester United have reportedly submitted a bid to around £30.5 million but it is far less than the evaluation of Inter Milan. The Italian giants are looking for a bid around £48-52 million to let go their top player this summer.

The 28-year old have been one of the best players in Italy and have featured for Inter Milan in 42 games. He has managed an impressive 11 goals and 12 assists during the course of the season and is one of the high profile players who are available in the market in summer.

Perisic still has three years left on his current contract with Inter Milan which runs until the summer of 2020 and the club is determined to sell him for a high price tag. Manchester United’s low offer meant there is a huge boost for Chelsea to make a move for the Croatian.

A move to Stamford Bridge would ensure Champions League football as Inter Milan will be playing in Europa League once again next season after finishing seventh in Serie A. Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is keen to bring in more attacking options to the club for the next season as they will competing in Champions League.

A defeat in the FA Cup final is not the ideal way to finish the season but the Italian is already making transfer plans for the next season. Chelsea could also lose a number of players in summer as the likes of Cesc Fabregas and Willian have not had enough playing time under Conte this season.

The addition of Perisic would be ideal for Conte as he provides the versatility in the final third and his dynamic wing play could add to the strengths of 3-4-3 formation of the Blues. Perisic had earlier played for the likes of Borussia Dortmund and Wolfsburg in Germany before making a move to Italy a couple of years ago and a move to Premier League is very much on the cards cometh the summer.
