Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo is considering his future at Old Trafford and now has cleared many things about the current situation of the club. This is the first time, Ronaldo has spoken freely about what is going on at Old Trafford and his view on that.
In his recent interview with Sky Sports, Ronaldo stated that the club should finish in the top-three this season and he is here to win, to compete. Manchester United are struggling in the 7th spot in the English Premier League table with just 31 points from the opening 19 matches. They are 22 points behind leaders Manchester City and 11 points behind 3rd placed Liverpool. So finishing in the top three will take a miracle and is very unlikely to happen in the remaining 19 matches.

Cristiano Ronaldo continues his good form this season with 14 goals in 21 appearances for Red Devils this season. But other big-names Bruno Fernandes, Harry Maguire, and Jadon Sancho need to step up their performances this season if they wish to finish in the top-six.
“Manchester United should win the league or be second or third, I don’t see any other position for Manchester United. In my heart, I don’t accept that our mentality be less than being in the top three in the Premier League, in my opinion. We can do it better, all of us. I don’t want to be here in the club to fight to be in sixth or seventh place. I am here to try to win, to compete. I believe if we change our mind we can achieve big things.” – Ronaldo to Sky Sports.
The 36-year-old returned to Old Trafford after 14 years but his return has disturbed Manchester United dressing room, according to the rumors. His influence in the dressing room has affected the leadership authority of existing senior players. Manchester United finished last season in the second position and improved the squad significantly in the summer with the signing of Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane. But ‘not so united’ performances have been disappointing lately due to the dressing room situation.
Cristiano Ronaldo Backs Ralf Rangnick:
Newly appointed manager Ralf Rangnick is also struggling to unite players and solve dressing room issues. Rangnick has introduced a new 4-2-2-2 formation at Old Trafford but players are finding it tough to adapt and have reportedly raised this issue in the dressing room. But Ronaldo believes, his manager needs more time to show results and asked fans to show some patience.

“He arrived here five weeks ago. He changed many things but he needs time to put his ideas through the players and on the pitch. It takes time but I believe that he is going to do a good job. We know we don’t play the best football, as we should do, but we have many games to improve. Since he arrived I think in some points we are better, but he needs time.”
Ronaldo sparked the rumors on his future at Old Trafford last week when he was spotted with his agent first time since his Manhcester United return. Ranaldo has won every possible trophy with Real Madrid and Juventus but things are not the same with Manchester United. Manchester United need to finish this season in top-four for sure to hold on to their superstar.
