New Twist In Cristiano Ronaldo's Real Madrid Exit Rumours 1

Manchester United may be able to land their former talisman Cristiano Ronaldo, finally, this summer.

The Portuguese international who helped his national side to the EURO16 title in France has been in terrific form, even after he crossed 30, stands as one of the best players in world football if not the best.

His stint at Real Madrid has been trophy-laden, as he has won three Champions League titles, two of them in the last two years, also managing to lift the La Liga title for the first time in more than three years.

He was sensational in Real’s run into the Champions League final where they beat Juventus at Cardiff. Ronaldo scored 10 goals in the last five games of the competition and is currently the top goal scorer in the history of the elite competition.

He is 32 but is still an integral part of the manager Zinedine Zidane’s plans for the club in the future, however, reports today broke out that Ronaldo might be open to quitting the Bernabeu this summer.

According to various sources close to the player, Ronaldo is now ready to quit Spain and is open to a move to England, with Manchester United the most likely destination.

This comes at the back of the allegations of tax fraud that were laid on the Portuguese international recently.

The 32-year-old is accused of evading billions of dollars in tax in Spain and it is now reported that he is unhappy with this treatment and is now ready to quit the Spanish capital this summer.

A source close to the player revealed:

“He feels he’s honest, has good character and did everything OK.”.

His Real contract has a 1bn euro (£874.88m) release clause.

The source added: “He’s very sad and really upset.

“He doesn’t want to stay in Spain. At this moment, he wants to leave.”

The club and the player are reportedly confident that they can evade the allegations but that does not stop Ronaldo from wanting to quit Spain this summer.

Report have also suggested that the player is open to a move to PSG  as well with his agent already opening talks with the French outfit.

However, it will be interesting to see if Ronaldo does quit Real and is ready to move out of the Spanish capital.
