Former Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has finally broken his silence to speak about the reason behind joining Juventus. He admitted that his overhead kick goal against them played a major role in growing interest for the club.
Ronaldo’s overhead kick goal against Juventus was one of the top goal of Champions League last season.
Ronaldo talked earlier about the reason behind joining Juventus, but he didn’t give any specific answer. However, in a latest review, he admitted that goal and the fans reaction played a key part.
All the Juventus fan gave a standing applause after the goal and the reaction touched Ronaldo’s heart.
Ronaldo said on his unveiling as DAZN’s first Global Ambassador:
“The small details make the big difference at the end of the day so … I would say what I saw in the stadium helped [the transfer]. Not 100 per cent of course but some parts make you think.

He also admitted that he was shocked about seeing the reaction of the away fans.
“[It] was in my opinion one of the best goals of my career so far. And, of course, when the people start to applaud me in the stadium I was like, ‘wow’. [It] surprised me a lot because this has never happened in my life, so [it] was [an] unbelievable moment.”
Ronaldo also revealed something which most of the people around the world doesn’t know. He revealed that he enjoys other sports during his down time and particularly a big fan of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
“I like for example UFC fights. I like to watch tennis, basketball… ping pong is my second sport that I know how to play well. But I will say UFC is good, I like to see the fights.”
