Zinedine Zidane has made history in his first full season at the Bernabeu as he managed to help them to the La Liga title to add to the Champions League title for the second year running.
Los Blancos became the first team to retain the Champions League title and have etched history by winning it two years in a row after they defeated Italian champions Juventus 4-1 in the final at the Millennium Stadium just a few days ago.
They will be overjoyed having gone through one of their most productive seasons and their talisman Cristiano Ronaldo has easily been their most influential player in this time.
Having helped the club to a couple of victories over Bayer Munich in the quarter-final, scoring five goals over two legs, Ronaldo continued his goal scoring prowess in the semi-final of the competition, scoring thrice in two legs over local rivals Atletico Madrid.

He helped Real set up a crunch tie against Juventus at Cardiff and was once again bang in form, scoring a brace and helping Real Madrid to a 4-1 victory in the finals.
He made sure that they became the first team to retain the title and surely, he is now the front-runner for the unique achievement the Ballon d’Or for this year.
He has 12 goals in the Champions League last campaign, 42 goals in all competitions and has been arguably the best player in Europe in the business end of the campaign.
He just couldn’t stop scoring and is now ahead of Barcelona star Lionel Messi in the race to the individual glory.
The Portuguese international, who also helped his national side to an EURO16 victory has now lifted nine major trophies in his last 13 months and is just getting better.
He is sure to be a nuisance in the Ballon d’Or nominations, even as Messi has a higher number of goals.
This will mean that Ronaldo, who now has four such trophies to his name, can make it five, equaling the Argentine hitman.
And Ronaldo seems to be having some fun already as he took to social media to engage in a banter with Messi.
The Portuguese star liked a ‘meme’ on social networking site Instagram, where a picture of Lionel Messi giving up the Ballon d’Or to Ronaldo was hilariously depicted.

It may have just been a friendly laugh but the fans of both the players have already started talking about this.
Do you think Ronaldo means to say that he will be handed the Ballon d’Or this year?
