2nd SECOND ASHES TEST, ADELAIDE OVAL, ADELAIDE

Australia took a 2-0 lead in the Ashes series after beating England by 120 runs in the day/night Test as the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide. England came into the fifth day with high hopes, but all those hopes faded away with the dismissal of Joe Root and Moeen Ali early in the day. The tourists lost their last six wickets in the first session of the last day. Josh Hazelwood took the wickets of Chris Woakes and England skipper Joe Root on early in the day. Mitchell Starc took the last wicket of Bairstow to finish the match. Starc finished with another five-wicket haul and finished with the figures of 5-88. Hazelwood and Lyon picked up two wickets each while Cummins picked up the wicket Dawid Malan. Shaun Marsh was adjudged the man of the match for his hundred in the first innings.
India Vs Sri Lanka 3rd Test, Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi

The third and final Test between India and Sri Lanka was lingering towards a draw as the Sri Lankan batsmen showed resistance on the final day losing just two wickets in two sessions. Lanka lost the wicket of Angelo Matthews in the first session, but captain Dinesh Chandimal and Dhananjaya De Silva had shown some solid defensive technique against the Indian spinners. Chandimal was dismissed soon after the lunch break, but Dhananjaya went on to complete his third hundred in Test match cricket. Sri Lanka was 278/5 and needed 132 more runs to win in 16 overs at the time of writing.
WORLD HOCKEY LEAGUE, BHUBANESHWAR
Spain will face Australia in the first quarter-final of the World Hockey League at 5:15 IST. India, on the other hand, will face in-form Belgium in the second quarterfinal at 7:30 IST.
