Indian skipper Virat Kohli is leading his troops from the front. At Trent Bridge, India finds themselves in the driving seat, all thanks to a masterful ton from the skipper. If Hardik Pandya’s five-for brought the visitors back in the game, Kohli’s hundred put them in front. Thus, Suresh Raina praised Virat Kohli.
India declared their innings on 352/7. Apart from Kohli’s 103, Cheteshwar Pujara’s 72 and Pandya’s late unbeaten 52 were notable additions. 29-year-old Kohli missed out on the hundred in the first innings. He departed for a well-made 97 but reached the three-figure mark in the second innings.
This was Kohli’s second ton in the ongoing Test series. He scored a classy 149 at Edgbaston even though India went on to lose the match. The cricketing circuit were all in praise for the man of the hour.
Limited overs cricketer Suresh Raina lauded the effort of his colleague. He tweeted ” Leader is the one who knows the way, goes the way & shows the way… and you are setting a perfect example of that! Fantastic inning brother”.
England clueless against Virat Kohli
It was indeed a perfect example of how to lead the boys in crisis. India is desperate to win the third Test and restrict the hosts from winning the series. Joe Root’s men have won the first two Test matches and therefore another win will decide the fortune of the series.

England’s plan for Kohli didn’t work at all.
“We’ve got good plans against him and have found a way to potentially get him out. It’s nice to know that what we’re doing is the right thing, it’s just about taking those opportunities when they come along,” said Root after the first Test match.
The Indian batsman was determined to do well. And even though there were some edges flying, Kohli managed to get hold of himself and flourish when it mattered.
Suresh Raina and Virat Kohli are expected to play together in the upcoming Asia Cup.
