Mashrafe Mortaza:

Famously known as the ‘Narail Express’, Mashrafe Mortaza was the first-ever Bangladesh bowler to come forth with an unsettling bounce to his pace. However, his career got remodelled with the constant injuries he endured throughout his career. No longer could he get the same pace with which he made a debut in the international cricket arena.
Mortaza then worked on his techniques and relied more on the errors made by the batsmen all the while bowling in the restrictive line. However, the bowler soon became the captain of the ODI and T20I of the Bangladesh team.
The pacer led Bangladesh to beat the world top-ranked teams like South Africa in the one-day cricket and it was the golden time for the team to seal their place in the Champions Trophy back in 2017. It was under his leadership that Bangladesh became the runners-up in the Asia Cup.
However, following the failure in the 2016 World T20 Mortaza announced retirement from the shortest form of cricket. He made the big announcement during a T20I series which was levelled by his team as they won the second game, giving a fitting farewell to their skipper.
Nevertheless, the cricketer is yet to retire from the limited-overs game which he last played during the World Cup 2019 while his Test career was over in around 2009. And with him not being the part of the team anymore, it is expected that Mortaza would make the big announcement sooner than later.
