India have lost the series and have gone 2-0 down in the three-match Test series as they were bundled out for 151 before the lunch break on day five. India had high hopes on Cheteshwar Pujara, but Pujara soon lost his wicket trying to steal a third run and was run out for the second time in the Test match. This was the first time an Indian batsman was dismissed run out twice in a Test match. Kagiso Rabada and debutant Lungi Ngidi then set the tone for the hosts as the duo picked up three and six wickets respectively. Ngidi picked up his maiden five-wicket haul in his debut Test. Rohit Sharma was the top scorer for the Indian team in the second innings with 47 runs.

Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to field first in the 2nd match of the tri-nation series at Shere-Bangla National stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka. Zimbabwe have set a target of 291 courtesy fifties by Hamilton Masakadza and Sikander Raza. Masakadza opened the innings and scored 73 and was involved in 75 runs opening wicket partnership with Solomon Mire. Sikander Raza took the responsibility in the middle order and scored 81 runs to help his team reach a comfortable total of 290/6.
