South Africa vs India, 3rd Test, Johannesburg
The first day of the third Test at the Wanderers belonged to the hosts South Africa as they dismissed India for a mere 187 in the first innings. India bowled six overs before stumps and reduced the hosts at 6/1. Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked up the early wicket of Aiden Markram. Kumar then removed Dean Elgar early on day two. Rabada then played some shots and but was then removed by Ishant Sharma on 30. South Africa went into the lunch break at 81/3 with AB De Villiers and Hashim Amla at the crease.
New Zealand vs Pakistan, 2nd T20I, Auckland
Pakistan finally registered a win on their tour of New Zealand in the second T20 match of the three-match series. Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat first and the decision paid off for the tourists. Openers Fakhar Zaman and Ahmed Shahzad got them off to a flier as the duo was involved in a 94 runs partnership. Zaman scored 50 off 28 deliveries. Pakistan finished on 201 in their 20 overs. New Zealand was bundled out on 153 in 18.3 overs. Faheem Ashraf was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up three wickets giving away 22 runs in 3.3 overs. Pakistan won the match by 48 runs.
Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka, 6th match, Dhaka
Sri Lanka finally showed their old self as they restricted the hosts for a mere 82 in the sixth match of the Tri-series. Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bat first, but the decision backfired. Mushfiqur Rahim was the top scorer for the hosts scoring 26 runs. Suranga Lakmal picked up three wickets while Dushmantha Chameera, Thisara Perera and Lakshan Sandakan picked up two wickets each. Sri Lanka achieved the target in 11.5 overs as they won the match by 10 wickets.

Second seed Caroline Wozniacki became the first women’s player to book a berth in this year’s Australian Open final as she defeated E. Mertens in straight sets 6-3, 7-6.

Marin Cilic moved to the final of the Australian Open as he defeated Britain’s Kyle Edmund in straight sets 6-2, 7-6, 6-2. He will play the winner of the match between Hyeon Chung and Roger Federer on Sunday.
